Temperature Insert
A temperature measuring insert is the replaceable sensing element inside a sensor assembly. The Aplisens W2 insert takes Pt100 or thermocouple elements, single or dual, and fits into sensor housings by clamp. PIC Engineering supplies it from Shah Alam; inserts can be checked in our calibration services. Tell us the element type, the insert length and the housing it fits, and we supply the matching insert.
W2 Measuring Insert
The Aplisens W2 is a modular temperature measuring insert designed for direct installation into industrial temperature sensors using clamping grips (such as UG, UC1, UC2, US, or USG). It acts as the core sensing element within a protective outer thermowell assembly.
- Sensing Elements: Configurable with RTD elements (Pt100, 2xPt100) or Thermocouples (J, K, S, B in single or dual configurations).
- Measuring Ranges: Covers ranges from -70 to 500°C for standard RTDs, down to -196 to 150°C for low-temperature variants, and up to 1000°C for thermocouple types.
- Physical Sizing: Available in outer sheath diameters of Ø3, Ø4.5, Ø6, or Ø8 mm with customizable mounting lengths (Lw).
- Shield Material: Built using 316L Stainless Steel or Inconel for high temperature and chemical defense.

Tell us the duty, we will find the instrument.
Medium, range, temperature and connection is all we need. Temperature Insert is a fraction of what the 14 principals build, and anything they list we can quote.
