Drilled Bar Well Assemblies
Drilled Bar Well Assemblies from Thermo Electric are heavy-duty, high-integrity thermowell monitoring systems engineered to shield delicate temperature sensors (RTDs or thermocouples) from extreme fluid velocities, mechanical stress, and aggressive chemical erosion. Machined entirely out of a single, solid piece of metal bar stock, these deep-drilled enclosures establish a pressure-tight barrier inside process pipelines and tanks. This solid-metal design eliminates the structural weld seams found in lower-cost protection tubes, preventing process leakage while allowing maintenance crews to safely extract or swap the internal sensor elements without shutting down the main production line.
Instrumented Wafer Temperature Sensors
Thermo Electric instrumented wafers carry thermocouples on the surface of a silicon wafer, where the most vital processes occur, rather than inside the wafer's core, for a faster and more accurate response. They are made for semiconductor processing equipment, where knowing and controlling the temperature at the wafer surface is critical, and can also map the temperature uniformity of any other two dimensional surface.
One range, six models: TC-350 and TC-700 in a high performance (H) or heavy duty (D) build, the TC-1200 for high temperature and high purity up to 1,200 °C, and the BTC700H bonded wafer pair for wafer bonding equipment. Standard wafers from 50 to 300 mm, with the number and position of the thermocouples built to your process.
Multicouples Multipoint Temperature Sensor
Thermo Electric Multicouples (also known as multi-point thermocouple assemblies) are highly specialised temperature sensors.
Instead of measuring temperature at just one location, a multicouple places an arrangement of multiple measuring junctions at various staged depths within a single outer protection sheath or pipe well. This engineering allows industrial operators to capture a complete, real-time vertical or cross-sectional temperature profile across large tanks, high-pressure vessels, and volatile chemical environments using only one penetration point into the process equipment.
These assemblies are highly customizable; they can range from miniaturized versions (3 feet long with a few sensors) to massive structures extending well over 100 feet (30+ meters) containing dozens of individual measuring points.
Pipe Clamp Temperature Sensors
Thermo Electric pipe clamp devices offer a reliable, non-invasive solution for measuring industrial pipeline surface temperatures. Eliminating traditional thermowells prevents fluid contact, pressure drops, and leaks. Available in perpendicular, in-line, and contoured weld-on styles, they adapt to various pipe layouts. The hardware supports Type K, J, T, and E thermocouples or Pt100 RTDs, handling up to 1110°F (600°C). Operating by direct contact thermal conduction, they monitor high-pressure, corrosive, or hygienic lines in refining, chemical, and food processing applications.
RTD Wafer Sensor
RTD — Low Temperature / High Accuracy — Instrumented Wafer Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTD’s) — Max Temp 240 C
The Instrumented Wafer RTDs operate under the principle that the electrical resistance of certain metals increases or decreases in a repeatable and predictable manner with a temperature range.
Capable of higher accuracy and increased stability than thermocouple wafers, RTD’s instrumented wafers provide additional options for monitoring of semiconductor fabrication equipment.
The ability of the RTDs sensors to maintain initial accuracy over an extended period of time provides repeatability in temperature measurements.
The BTC700 finds application in wafer bonding equipment where knowing and controlling temperature uniformity across mating silicon wafer surfaces is required. MEMS, MOEMS, silicon-on-insulator (SOI), wafer level packaging, and 3 dimensional chip stacking are the main technical categories where wafer bonding is employed.
Bonded Wafers can be fabricated from any wafer diameter so that a specific bonding process can be followed as close as technically possible. As a user of this product, you can expect rapid, accurate, and reliable response to temperature changes that occur during the wafer bonding processes.
Not only does this allow for high temperature operation, but it also creates one of the cleanest designs available. By eliminating the bonding agents there is no possibility of out gassing or other undesirable conditions.
This design finds application where knowing and controlling the temperature at the surface of a silicon wafer is critical. Most manufacturers embed their sensors within the wafer’s core. This product focuses its measurement at the wafer’s surface where the most vital processes occur. In using this product you can expect faster and more accurate response times resulting from the most accurate placement of the sensing elements.
While these products are typically used throughout the semiconductor industry, thi
Surface Mount Thermocouples
Surface Mount Sensors from Thermo Electric represent a comprehensive family of advanced contact temperature instruments, including thermocouples, Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs), and instrumented semiconductor wafers, engineered to track outer material skin temperatures without piercing the process envelope. By eliminating the need for immersion thermowells or direct fluid contact, these non-invasive assemblies eliminate flow disruption and pressure boundaries while maintaining pristine process integrity. They are heavily relied upon across industrial machinery, plastics processing, and advanced semiconductor manufacturing to deliver exceptionally fast response times through direct, high-density contact.
Tube Skin Temperature Sensor
Thermo Electric designs and custom-manufactures heavy-duty Tube Skin Sensors specifically for monitoring external surface temperatures in high-stress thermal environments. These heavy-duty sensor systems provide real-time data to help operators balance furnace efficiency, track asset health, and prevent hazardous over-temperature conditions.
