A DP level transmitter works out liquid level from the pressure of the liquid column, including in closed and pressurised tanks. PIC Engineering supplies the Aplisens APM-2 with two absolute pressure modules for vessels under pressure, and the APR-2200 ALW with two diaphragm seals. Both give 4 to 20 mA with HART; see our Aplisens range. How the low side cancels tank pressure, and when a wet leg or seals are needed, is in our guide to the differential pressure transmitter.

APRE-2000 Smart DP Transmitter

The Aplisens APRE series features smart differential pressure transmitters designed for measuring the pressure of gases, vapours, and liquids without a local display. Employing high-precision piezoresistant silicon sensors, these field instruments offer a cost-effective, high-accuracy alternative for remote setups.
  • Media Isolation: Configurable with single or dual remote diaphragm seals to isolate internal components from extreme media heat or corrosive chemicals.
  • Wetted Elements: Diaphragms can be constructed using Gold-plated layers, Tantalum, or Hastelloy C276 for aggressive environments.
  • Low-Range Detection: The APRE-2000G variant targets ultra-low gas pressures, chimney draughts, and furnace ventilation systems.
  • Rugged Specs: Operates at 0.1% accuracy and withstands heavy overpressure lines up to 320 bar within an IP65/IP66 casing.
  • Output Modes: Supports standard 4–20 mA analogue output embedded with the HART protocol.

Tell us the duty, we will find the instrument.

Medium, range, temperature and connection is all we need. Differential Pressure is a fraction of what the 14 principals build, and anything they list we can quote.
